Technique: Mixed and Acrylic

Born in Rapides-des-Cèdres (Quebec) in 1951, Virginia Pésémapéo (which means rainbow in the Cree language) Bordeleau now resides in Quebec.

Virginia obtained a bachelor's degree in visual arts from the University of Quebec in Abitibi in 1988. Her artistic approach, stemming from her living environment and the earth that nourishes her, motivates her to create scenes where characters and animals coexist. From dreams, memories, readings and encounters, the artist designs his themes mainly inspired by the mythology of mother earth or its animal totem, “the bear”.

Virginia Bordeleau has participated in around thirty exhibitions in Quebec, France and Denmark.
